Datashield Technologies is committed to protect your valuable
data residing on our servers. In addition to the password
and registration technology we have built into our products,
we use a "defense-in-depth" strategy to protect
your data, and we follow industry standard best practices
in carrying out the strategy. The servers on which Datashield accounts reside are continuously monitored for attempted network
attacks on a 24 x 7 basis using sophisticated software tools.
User data resides on raid protected industry leading NAS/SAN
storage devices with multiple levels of redundancy. In addition,
regular backups of user data is maintained on separate raid
protected devices online to quickly recover from any software/hardware
failures.
Periodic third party scans and audits are carried out to test
the integrity of the infrastructure and applications.
Browser Based Applications
All our browser based data transfer operations including file
and folder sharing uses 128-bit SSL encryption by default.
Downloadable Applications
IDrive and IDrive Multimedia, the Network mapping applications
have 128-bit SSL encryption enabled by default. Datashield Backup Productsfor Windows has 128-bit SSL encryption enabled by default.
IDrive for Mac has 128-bit SSL encryption during transmission.
Datashield Backup Professional enforces 256-bit AES encryption on storage
in addition to 128-bit SSL encryption during transmission.
How we protect your data:
Your Data is hosted at multiple world-class datacenter locations
including El Segundo CA, Fremont CA, Newark NJ, London UK
among others. The Data Center's provide the physical environment
necessary to keep the servers up and running 24 hours a day,
7 days a week. These world-class facilities are custom designed
with raised floors, HVAC temperature control systems with
separate cooling zones, and seismically braced racks. They
offer the widest range of physical security features, including
state-of-the-art smoke detection and fire suppression systems,
motion sensors, and 24x7 secured access, as well as video
camera surveillance and security breach alarms.
